Laurie and I spent quite a good amount of time at Parliament Hill in Ottawa. (Warning...possible learning ahead!!) Ottawa is Canada's capital, just like our Washington DC. Most times, you are even allowed to view the senators from the gallery as they discuss the day's events. But the day we went, you couldn't because it was Question/Answer day. Any Canadian who had a question for the senators could stand in line and ask away. I thought that was pretty neat. I found some web cams focused on Parliament Hill...you can visit the Ottawa Citizen Online web site for their cam, or try The Hill Cam web site. The Hill Cam web site's home page is an excellent starting point to learn all about Parliament Hill...just click on A Treasure To Explore: Parliament Hill. Going up the Peace tower was my favorite part. In some of the pictures, you may notice signs with both French and English on them. Almost every sign had this. What a pain for sign makers!!
