Ok, I admit it. When the people at work told me about Ohiopyle State Park, I assumed it was in Ohio. Wrong! It's about 45 minutes to an hour east of Pittsburgh...right in Pennsylvania. It's one of Laurie's and my favorite places, although we've only been there like twice. Well, actually, she's been there more as she went with her Dad too. We went in the summer of 2001, and again in the fall. There are waterfalls, bike trails, rapids to kayak on (Ohiopyle is an Indian word for white frothy water) , and nature trails. A pretty cool place. You can rent bikes and, oh yes, there are some ice cream shops too. If you want more information, go to The official Ohiopyle web site, or you can try this web site too. It's not the official web site, but it's got some pretty good information.
